"They do, but not quite like this! At least in the wild, they only shed a few feathers at a time, sometimes leaving "holes" in the tail, but not all the feathers at once. This individual, a female (here's a male), presumably had a close encounter with another bird or perhaps got stuck in something. They're not exactly the most active birds (infact, despite their colourful plumage, they are often surprisingly difficult to see in the wild, as they remain immobile high in trees for most of the time), so unless the damage is internal, too, it should do fine until the feathers grow back out."
