Sat there for a good while hoping it would fly lower or let me get a better angle, but it was satisfied to sit up high in the sun on a chilly morning. The Chestnut-breasted Malkoha (Phaenicophaeus curvirostris) is a species of cuckoo in the Cuculidae family. It is found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Thailand. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical mangrove forests.
