To me the tiger is the real King of the jungle. It's bigger, stronger
and smarter than the lion. It hunts by itself and needs no one. If it
gets crippled, it just takes weaker prey (Us!). If you don't believe
all of the above read Jim Corbett's books on the pursuit of Maneaters
in India. Unfortunately, due to loss of habitat they are endangered
throughout their entire range.
I took this one at the Miami Zoo. He sleeps on like he has not one
care in the world and, at the same time, knows everything that goes on
around him. He posed for my Minolta 5000i with Minolta 80-200 zoom
using Kodachrome 64. Exposure f8 at 1/500th sec.
