The Abaco Island Boa (Epicrates exsul) or Northern Bahamas Boa, endemic only to Great Abaco Island, Bahamas is a slender, terrestrial, viviparous boa with an iridescent reddish sheen of the scales. It grows up to 80 cm long. It feeds on small mammals, birds and lizards. As a member of the rainbow boas (genus Epicrates), it belongs to the family of the true boas (Boidae).
