벼메뚜기 Oxya chinensis
메뚜기과에 딸린 곤충. 몸길이 30~40mm쯤이고 몸빛은 황록색이나 머리와 가슴은 황갈색이며 겹눈은 달걀모양이고 광택이 나는 회갈색이다. 날개는 황갈색이고 배끝보다 길다. 1년에 한 번 발생하며 땅 속의 알무더기로 겨울을 난다. 우리나라, 일본, 중국 등지에 분포한다.
