I think it was you Didi who asked me to post a pic of the "pellets" that my
magpies cough up. The one on the left is pretty normal containing mainly
black beetle shells. The centre one is full of peanuts (evidence that some
misguided person is feeding him) The one on the right contains mainly
grasshopper legs. I guess that day these were the main lunch item... I
would think they cough these "pellets" up quite a few times a day, as I have
seen them doing it 2 or 3 times in one day. Betty |
