The black swallower (Chiasmodon niger) is a species of deep sea fish in the family Chiasmodontidae. It is known for its ability to swallow fish larger than itself.

SUN-FISH. = ocean sunfish (Mola mola)
The ocean sunfish or common mola (Mola mola) is the heaviest known bony fish in the world. The ocean sunfish is native to tropical and temperate waters around the globe. Mola mola resembles a fish head with a tail, and its main body is flattened laterally.

PLAGIODUS. = longnose lancetfish (Alepisaurus ferox)
The long snouted lancetfish or longnose lancetfish (Alepisaurus ferox) is a species of lancetfish found in the ocean depths down to 1,830 m. Alepisaurus ferox is often called the cannibal fish because numerous individuals have been caught after having devoured other lancetfish.
