I think this is a Hartlaubs Gull (Larus hartlaubii)
from South Africa, based on what I see
black eyes, black pointed bill and black feet.
Buller's Gull (New Zealand) has light (white) eyes.
Common Gull has greyish-green legs and
yellow-green bill. (I just posted one by it's
other name Mew Gull, assuming it is the
same species Larus canus).=20
You presented some nice puzzles.
Too bad you don't have more info from
that Broderbund ClickArt 200,000 CD,
but its an opportunity to test my knowledge
of birds and other animals.

Hartlaub's Gull or King Gull, (Larus hartlaubii) is a small gull which is a non-migratory breeding resident endemic to the Atlantic Ocean coastline of South Africa and Namibia. Although it is predominantly coastal or estuarine, it is not a pelagic species, and is rarely seen at sea far from land. It was formerly sometimes considered to be a subspecies of the Silver Gull (Larus novaehollandiae).
