The Perdix cardinalfish (Apogonichthys perdix) is a species of cardinalfishes native to the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean. Apogonichthys perdix has an olive-brown color with irregular dark spots and streaks, speckled fins, and a dark line from the eye to the origin of the lateral line. It is a small fish, with males typically reaching a maximum length of 6.0 cm. Apogonichthys perdix is found in marine environments, usually at depths ranging from 1 to 4 meters.
