invisible bird 1

My husband spotted a new bird while cycling out bush one day, and managed to
get a blurry pic of it, so I had to go out too and see if I could see it for
myself, as I suspected it was a crested bellbird, a newby for me. I spotted
a medium sized brown bird, and cursing because I had left my binoculars
home, I zoomed in with the camera, and spotting him dead centre, I clicked!!
Very excited to see if I could ID it from the LCD screen, I switched to
review, and was surprised to find absolutely nothing there. It was dead
centre sitting on the curved branch!! I started to scroll around thinking I
might have a bit of blurry brown bird exiting screen left, when to my utter
amazement I see this little guy. I never saw it while I was eyeballing the
brown bird, and never saw it in my viewfinder although it was only a couple
of twigs away. Pretty pleasing anyway as I have only seen the female of
this species before. It is a mistletoe bird.
