This arboreal genus is Atheris (Bush Vipers) of Sub-Saharan Africa. It might be called "saw-scaled adder" locally in Africa, but it shouldn't be confused with terrestrial Saw-Scaled Vipers (genus Echis) of
North Africa to India.
