The imperial moth (Eacles imperialis) is a Nearctic member of the family Saturniidae and subfamily Ceratocampinae. Eacles imperialis ranges from South America to Canada and from the Rocky Mountains to the Atlantic Coast, where their colloquial name is "Mothra."
