Oceanic Gecko, Gehyra oceanica
Guam's largest gecko is "a hot dog-sized delectable"
for the snake, as Dr. Tom Fritts describes it. It was
one of the first lizards to disappear after the BTS
ran out of birds. When this big gecko vanished, it's
likely that smaller gecko species increased both their
populations and their range, inadvertently making
even more food for every size of BTS.
