The giant swordtail, Graphium androcles, has a wingspan that ranges between 3.1 and 4.7 inches. Females are relatively larger than males. The lower half of each forewing is white with three dark brown, diagonal parallel stripes, while the upper half of each is dark brown and crossed with two white stripes. The hindwings are white, with dark brown markings along the lower margins, and each one terminates in a long "swordtail". |
