The Sardinian brook salamander or Sardinian mountain newt (Euproctus platycephalus) is a species of salamander in the Salamandridae family found only in Sardinia, Italy.
The Japanese fire belly newt (Cynops pyrrhogaster) is a species of newt in the Salamandridae family endemic to Japan. In the wild, this species lives on the islands of Honshū, Shikoku, and Kyūshū, in clear, cool bodies of water, usually ponds, ditches, pools, or lakes. |
