Sooty mangabeys are rare and endangered monkeys found only in Africa. They are grey to brown-grey in colour with a lighter chest and stomach. Their faces are typically greyish pink, with darker fur along the forehead and ears. Given their diet of hard seeds and nuts, sooty mangabeys have powerful teeth and jaws that help them crack hard nut shells or tear bark from trees. |
