Llama (Lama glama LINNAEUS / Camelidae), Daejeon Zooland, Korea
The Llama is the largest South American camel. The Incas used the Llama as a sacrificial animal. Today these animals are bred to be pack animals who carry large loads on their backs. When these animals are domesticated, they have some difficulty adapting to the lower elevations because their bodies are made for life at higher elevations.
