The Polynesian wattled honeyeater or eastern wattled honeyeater (Foulehaio carunculatus) is a species of bird in the honeyeater family Meliphagidae. The species is endemic to the islands of the Central Pacific, occurring on American Samoa, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and Wallis and Futuna Islands.
The island thrush (Turdus poliocephalus) is a common forest bird in the thrush family. Almost 50 subspecies have been described, ranging from Taiwan, through South East Asia and Melanesia, to Samoa, exhibiting great differences in plumage.
The maroon shining parrot (Prosopeia tabuensis) or red shining-parrot is a species of parrot in the family Psittaculidae. It endemic to the islands of Vanua Levu and Taveuni in Fiji and was introduced to the islands of southern Tonga in prehistoric times.
The Fiji woodswallow (Artamus mentalis) is a species of woodswallow in the family Artamidae. It is endemic to most of the islands of Fiji.
The Samoan fantail (Rhipidura nebulosa) is a species of bird in the family Rhipiduridae. It is endemic to Samoa.
The silvereye or wax-eye (Zosterops lateralis) is a very small omnivorous passerine bird of the south-west pacific. |
