(P:\Africa\Ark) Dn-a0040.jpg (0/1) (52 K)
Photos taken during our stay at The Ark,
a small lodge built on the edge of a
watering hole / salt lick. (See #77)
Kenya and Tanzania, Summer 2000.
Scanned from 6x4 prints of 35mm film
with a not-too-good scanner.
Released to the Public Domain,
but I would appriciate hearing about
commercial use of the photos.

It's nighttime? :-)
Seriously, the animals come by all night. There are flood lights on the
building that let you see the animals. There are bells in the room they
ring one to four times when new kinds of animals show up, depending on how
surprising/rare the animals are. (1 for elephants, buffallo, etc. 2 for
hyenas and such. 4 for leopards, lions, etc.)

Well, each chunk of pictures is identified by the directory it's in. They're
otherwise not named separately. (It was hard enough categorizing them as far
as I did. Is this scenery? Zebras? Elephants? :-)

That I can probably manage, as a screen shot of a web index.
