The Malay birdwing (Troides amphrysus) is a birdwing butterfly in the genus Troides in the papilionidae family. This species can be found in the Australasian ecozone and in the Indomalayan ecozone, from Myanmar up to Indonesia.
The common birdwing (Troides helena) is a butterfly belonging to the family Papilionidae. Globally it is found in Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, peninsular and eastern Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, Kampuchea, Thailand, Vietnam, southern China including Hainan, and Hong Kong.
The common mime (Papilio clytia) is a swallowtail butterfly found in south and south-east Asia. The butterfly belongs to the Chilasa subgenus, the black-bodied swallowtails. It serves as an excellent example of a Batesian mimic among the Indian butterflies.
The great blue mime (Papilio paradoxa) is a swallowtail butterfly found in India and parts of South-East Asia. The butterfly belongs to the mime subgenus, Chilasa, of the genus Papilio (black-bodied swallowtails). It is an excellent mimic of different species of Euploea (sub-family Danainae). |
