The diadem volute Melo amphora is a large gastropod or marine snail in the family Volutidae. The shell is striking and heavy, with distinct markings and hollow spines on the shoulder. The shell and animal of this and related species are used by indigenous peoples and are also popular in decorative shell trade. |
