Dingo, yellowish-brown wild dog found in Australia; it is thought to be a descendant of early domestic dogs that were introduced by Aborigines. It feeds mainly on rabbits and other small mammals, but may also attack sheep. Height: 40-65cm. Family Canidae; species Canis dingo. |
