참새목 동박새과의 조류.
몸길이 약 10.5cm이다. 이마에서 위꽁지덮깃까지의 윗면은 올리브색이 도는 노란색이고
꽁지는 어두운 갈색, 날개 가장자리는 녹색을 띤 노란색이다. 눈 앞쪽은 검정색이고
눈 둘레에는 흰색 고리모양이 뚜렷하다. 턱밑과 멱은 노란색, 가슴은 회색이 도는 흰색,
가슴 옆은 회색이다.
배는 흰색, 아랫배와 아래꽁지덮깃은 연노랑이고 옆구리에는 밤색 무늬가 있다. 날개는
