Dyeing Poison Frog (Dendrobates tinctorius)
Actually, the poison from most poison dart frogs is a product of their
native diet. Under captive conditions where the frogs are fed a diet of
fruit flies, crickets and other readily available food items, the poison
secreted by the frogs loses most (some times all) of its toxicity. |
