Spotted Crake
Size: 20cm
Habitat: Distributed from Central QLD south through NSW, VIC, TAS and parts of SA as well as far West Australia. This bird inhabits well vegetated swamps. Feeds on plant matter, molluscs and insects.
Notes: Grey/brown bird with white spots on back, red eye. Bill and legs olive/green, grey front and black and white striped belly. Breeds Spring-Summer.
