Pachyurus bonariensis is a species of fish in the Sciaenidae family in the order of the Perciformes. It has a brown color, with black spots on the back and silvery on the belly; Obtuse head, mouth with many teeth, two dorsal fins, caudal fin with its central rays longer than the lateral ones, and anal fin with very strong spines. Males can reach 22.6 cm in total length. Found in South America: river basins Uruguay, Paraguay | Venezuela and lower reaches of Paraná. Order: Perciformes, Family: Sciaenidae, Genus: Pachyurus, Species: Pachyurus bonariensis Steindachner, 1879.
