The Indian grey mongoose or common grey mongoose (Herpestes edwardsii) is a mongoose species mainly found in West Asia and on the Indian subcontinent. The grey mongoose is commonly found in open forests, scrublands and cultivated fields, often close to human habitation.

The Indian cobra (Naja naja) also known as the spectacled cobra, Asian cobra or binocellate cobra is a species of the genus Naja found in the Indian subcontinent (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal). The Indian cobra is classified under the genus Naja of the family Elapidae.
