Hi everybody,
this pretty guy is to be found at Sea World, San Diego. As far as I know
it is called a green winged Macaw.
By the way, I shall most likely be away from this NG for up to a couple
of weeks. For professional commitments I have to spend some time away
from my hometown, and it is most unlikely that I shall have Internet
access there. Once I have a proper accommodation I shall probably take
my PC and scanner there and do some scanning in my spare time. In this
case I shall be happy to share the scans with you every time I return
home during weekend.
Take care
Ralf

The green-winged macaw or red-and-green macaw (Ara chloropterus) is a large, mostly-red macaw. Ara chloropterus is the largest of the Ara genus, widespread in the forests and woodlands of northern and central South America. |
