English: Endemic Bird of the Philippines found in montane area. Taken at Mt Polis, about 300 km north of Manila at elevation of around 4000 feet.

The green-backed whistler (Pachycephala albiventris) is a species of bird in the family Pachycephalidae. It is endemic to the Philippines. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. Order: Passeriformes, Family: Pachycephalidae.
Subspecies:
P. a. albiventris – (Ogilvie-Grant, 1894): found on northern Luzon (Philippines)
P. a. crissalis – (Zimmer, JT, 1918): found on central and southern Luzon (Philippines)
P. a. mindorensis – (Bourns & Worcester, 1894): found on Mindoro (Philippines) |
