That's a javelina, native to Southwest US. I believe they are members of
the peccary (sp?) family and get upset when people call them "pigs".
However, they come up in my back yard all the time and they _sound like
pigs, _root like pigs, _wallow like pigs, and _smell like pigs. :-)
Unlike pigs, they are not the smartest critters in the barnyard.
You take great shots. Where was this javelina? |
