bird buddies

Saw something unusual the other day, these two birds (pigeon and willy
wagtail) obviously have a thing going on. I first saw the willy displaying
and behaving a bit strangely, and as I got a bit closer I noticed the
pigeon. I thought the willy was being aggressive and trying to scare the
pigeon off at first, but after watching for a while it became obvious that
they were buddies. One would fly away and then come back and land right
beside the other, (they both did this several times) and they followed each
other around on the ground for ages. I don't know what happened with this
fine romance, as a kid on a bike came by and they flew off... |
