and a Slender Mongoose -
Herpestes sanguineus
- sometimes called Black Tipped Mongoose because of its black tip on its tail, has made Mbweni its territory. It can be seen searching for insects and fruits in the vegetation from this point right along the road and round the back of the Reception to the Bar, in the eastern part of the grounds. It also preys on snakes and lizards, small rodents, birds and birds’ eggs.
