Looks to be a MULE DEER in full velvet (on the
antlers). Found in the west, has large ears and
therefore different from the WHITE TAIL DEER found in
the mid-west.
The mule deer (Odocoileus hemionus) is a deer indigenous to western North America; it is named for its ears, which are large like those of the mule.
