This animal looks like it may be a wolf dog cross
with white german shepard in its background.
I would appresiate you letting me know what it is.

If this critter has any dog mixed in, it sure isn't a white
german shepherd. I have lived with an 87.5% arctic wolf for
the last thirteen years (house wolf). She has a little
husky mixed in and is consequently smaller (62 lbs) and has
brown eyes. I've seen other arctics as well as pictures and
this is the first one with a liver colored nose like mine
has. If it weren't for the yellow eyes, I could swear that
this is a picture of my wolf companion.

Wild wolves never have liver noses unless suffering from pigmentation abnormalities. Delicate features of this dog point to a husky cross. Possibly a white furred, light eyed husky x wolf. My second choice is a colored husky x arctic wolf, although arctic wolves are fairly rare. I have seen arctic wolf x husky crosses with nearly crystal colored eyes (pale blue + yellow manifests as pale green). In any case, a gorgeous dog. |
