Size: 29-30cm
Habitat: Found near water, in woodland ,mangroves and scub, feeding on seeds on the ground near cover. This bird is reluctant to take to flight when approached preferring to scurry away.
Notes: Neck copper coloured, head grey, wing brown with barring on back of neck. Breeds all year round.
