Size: 30-33cm
Habitat: Found in central QLD, NSW and parts of SA & NT preferring low scrub and open woodlands. Often seen on the ground foraging for seed and insects. As the name suggests this bird is highly sociable, congregating in groups of sometimes 12 or more.
Notes: Head and body grey with brown wings with black bill, breeds Spring-Summer.
