Glossy Ibis
Size: 52cm
Habitat: Occurring Australia wide excepting TAS and parts of Central Australia, usually feeds in flocks on insects, molluscs and crustaceans in freshwater wetlands and pastures.
Notes: Dark red/brown body, long curved dark bill, wings glossy iridescent green/purple. Breeds in response to sufficient rainfall.
