I might get you a video snapshot of one -
low resolution of course, and may take a day or so
to search my video tape archive.
Or you could try to give a ordinary Bosun bird
a similar treatment as the 'white' lions seen
in this group recently.
But while collecting other pictures in the
group I found this picture using Alta Vista
on "phaethon lepturus" and "christmas island"
(in lowercase!) in 2nd or 3rd hit from list. Entry was
http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Vines/7576/podicipe.html
pointing to final URL

It helps a lot if you use the scientific name of an animal
when searching for info. May give some scientific papers
or references to it without pictures, but it also avoids lots of
false hits. I remember finding a webserver named "armadillo"
and a popgroup named "xxx and the Blowfish".
Surprising results I should say. Of course you should have
that scientific name first if you want to use it.
Anyway - I think this picture is what you need

White-tailed Tropicbird (Phaethon lepturus), is a tropicbird, smallest of three closely related seabirds of the tropical oceans and smallest member of the order Pelecaniformes. It occurs in the tropical Atlantic, western Pacific and Indian Oceans. It also breeds on some Caribbean islands, and a few pairs have started nesting recently on Little Tobago, joining the Red-billed Tropicbird colony. In addition to the tropical Atlantic, it nests as far north as Bermuda, where it is locally called a "Longtail". |
