One of the oldest negatives I have - Penguin in Rostock Zoo - Superb quality of Konica 400
Hi again,
this picture (and the one to follow) illustrates nicely why Konica 400
is my very favorite color negative film. Taken in 1990, the color of
these negatives is still excellent, and they allow scanning with a
minimum of hassle. On the contrary, I have scanned younger Kodak
negatives where at least half of the color intensity seems to be gone.
So far, no other 400? print film matches the Konica 400 which, oddly
enough, applies to 10-year-old shots as well as to the brand new Konica
Centuria 400 which I have just been testing.
This pretty bird, by the way, lives (lived?) in Rostock Zoo where I took
some pics in summer 1990. Rostock was still "GDR" at that time; the
re-unification of Germany came two months later.
Greetings from Germany -
Ralf
