Egyptian Goose (Alopochen aegyptiacus)

Egyptian geese are typically found throughout the African Savanna. They were considered sacred by the ancient Egyptians and are found throughout their artwork. Like many other large geese, they eat small insects. They will often graze in pairs in shallow water or marhes. They often sleep in the same spot each night.
