Location
Luzon Island, Philippines
Caption
The trumpetfish (Aulostomus chinensis) is very timid and swims away from divers in a conventional, horizontal fashion unless it thinks it's cornered-- then it finds some vertical camouflage like these red whip corals, where it goes into a vertical position to confuse its pursuer. This specimen is probably about 2 feet in length.
