 The crested partridge (Rollulus rouloul) is a gamebird in the pheasant family Phasianidae. The crested wood partridge is a short-tailed bird measuring 25 cm in length. It resides in lowland rainforests in south Burma, south Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, and Borneo. This unique bird forages quietly on the forest floor, using its feet to probe for fruit, seeds, and invertebrates. When disturbed, it prefers to run but can fly a short distance on its rounded wings.
