Charliesbirdblog: Nanning People's Park, GuangXi, China
Red-whiskered Bulbul Pycnonotus jocosus
Despite all the noise - and there was a lot of it - there were quite a few birds around. Most of them were
Red-whiskered Bulbuls
and
Oriental White-eyes
, which sounds a little dismissive I guess, but both species are widespread and common across most of the region and are impossible to miss on a trip to the Far East. Much more interesting was a loose 'group' of birds I found feeding in a corner of the park where the trees were much older and a small herb-garden was growing in the shelter of an old wall.
