Hmmm.....I don't mean to be critical, but this is a family of Whitetailed Deer,
not Mule Deer. Notice the tail, Mule Deer have a short, all white tail, with a
black tip on the end. Mule deer also have Bifucated antlers, meaning more than
one fork. Whitetails such as those pictured here antlers that have a sinlgle
main beam, and tines pointing out form it.
The white-tailed deer or whitetail deer (Odocoileus virginianus) is a medium-sized deer native to the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, and South America as far south as Peru and Bolivia. The whitetail deer can be recognized by the characteristic white underside to its tail. |
