The Tibetan antelope or chiru (Pantholops hodgsonii) (Chinese: 藏羚羊; pinyin: zàng língyáng) is a medium-sized bovid native to the Tibetan plateau.
The dorcas gazelle (Gazella dorcas), also known as the ariel gazelle, is a small and common gazelle of Africa and Arabia.
The gerenuk (Litocranius walleri), also known as the giraffe gazelle, is a long-necked antelope found in the Horn of Africa and the African Great Lakes region.
The gemsbok or gemsbuck (Oryx gazella) is a large antelope in the Oryx genus. It is native to the arid regions of Southern Africa, such as the Kalahari Desert. The name "gemsbok" in English is derived from Afrikaans gemsbok.
The waterbuck (Kobus ellipsiprymnus) is a large antelope found widely in sub-Saharan Africa. It is placed in the genus Kobus of the family Bovidae.
The blackbuck (Antilope cervicapra), also known as the Indian antelope, is an antelope found in Pakistan, India and Nepal. The blackbuck is the sole extant member of the genus Antilope.
The lesser kudu (Tragelaphus imberbis) is a forest antelope found in East Africa. It is placed in the genus Tragelaphus and family Bovidae.
The saiga antelope (Saiga tatarica) is a critically endangered antelope that originally inhabited a vast area of the Eurasian steppe zone from the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains and Caucasus into Dzungaria and Mongolia.
The hartebeest (Alcelaphus buselaphus), also known as kongoni, is an African antelope. The vernacular name "hartebeest" could have originated from the obsolete Afrikaans word hertebeest, literally deer beast. |
