Yellow-throated Longclaw (Macronyx croceus)
Genus probably closely related to Tmetothylacus and Hemimacronyx. May form a superspecies with M. fuellebornii. Plumage individually variable, and recognition of races often considered unwarranted; proposed race hygricus (Upper Guinea) included in nominate. Race vulturnus sometimes misspelt vulturinus. Three subspecies tentatively recognized. |
