The ridgehead or shoulderspine bigscale (Melamphaes suborbitalis) is primarily found in subtropical and temperate waters of the Atlantic Ocean, between 150 and 2,000 m deep.
Plectromus Beanii = Bean's bigscale (Scopelogadus beanii)
Bean's bigscale (Scopelogadus beanii) is widely distributed globally. In the northeastern Atlantic Ocean, it is known from Greenland to Madeira.
