Hi DEH,
It's a white california ground squirrel, Spermophilus beecheyi.
there's a small colony of white ones in fresno. very rare, i think. the one
pictured here is "Half-Whitey".
they're truly white, not albino. currently, there's one all-white female;
half-whitey is also a female; and there are several males similar to
half-whitey.
the patriarch of the family is not white.
