The oriental cockroach crawls around kitchens, canteens and bakeries, ready to scavenge on all kinds of food, including bread, biscuits and scraps of meat. Introduced into Europe from the tropics in food packing cases, it needs warm, heated surroundings in order to survive the cool winters of the temperate zones. |
