The osprey catches fishes that swim near the surface of the water. It flies low over the water until it spots a fish with its sharp eyesight. The osprey then plunges towards the water, stretching its feet out just before it hits the surface. Its talons are long and sharp, and its feet are scaly, giving the osprey a good grip on its slippery prey. |
